Macro Tracking Without the Subscription Nag

MacroTracker is the nutrition-logging app we built because we were tired of apps that paywall barcode scanning behind a monthly fee. It's from the same team behind Healthy Living Track — same idea: give you the tool, get out of the way.

We're finishing up Apple's review process. Once MacroTracker is approved, the App Store link goes right here.

What it does

The free version — no account, no paywall on the basics.

Barcode scanning

Scan a package and log it in seconds instead of hunting through a search box.

Manual macro logging

Log protein, carbs, and fat by hand when there's no barcode to scan — home cooking, restaurants, anything.

Apple Health sync

Your nutrition data shows up alongside the rest of your Health app, not locked in a separate silo.

Siri Shortcuts

Log a meal by voice without opening the app.

Reports you can actually read

Daily and weekly breakdowns generated on your phone — nothing shipped off to a server to make a chart.

What it looks like

Screens from the free version on iPhone.

MacroTracker Today screen showing calories, protein, carbs, fat and fiber against daily target ranges, water intake and the meals logged so far.

Today

MacroTracker History screen with a fourteen day trend chart and a list of previous days with their calorie and protein totals.

History and trends

MacroTracker Report screen showing a generated plain text summary of meals and weight over a chosen date range.

Reports

MacroTracker Settings screen listing editable daily target ranges for each macro and per meal reminder times.

Why we built another macro app

Most nutrition apps put the useful parts — barcode scanning, Health app sync — behind a subscription. MacroTracker's free tier does the actual job of tracking what you eat, full stop. We make our money on the insurance and wellness side of this site, not on nagging you to upgrade.
